Electronic Commerce Transaction - A transaction conducted over the Internet or other network where a cardholder enters card data and transmits the data. This includes e-mail, electronic order forms, and interactive websites.

Electronic Date Capture (EDC) - Process of electronically authorizing, capturing and settling a credit card transaction.

Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) - Any transfer of funds that is initiated by electronic means, such as an electronic terminal, telephone, computer, ATM or magnetic tape.

ETC Type - Electronic Ticket Capture code that identifies the method that a merchant settles transactions.
